Message from the Conference Chairperson
Dear Colleagues, Partners, and Friends,
I am honoured, as Chair of this milestone event, to extend a warm invitation to scholars, practitioners, innovators, policymakers, and students from across the world to participate in the
30th MUBS Annual International Management Conference (AIMC) – 2026.
The 2026 conference theme,
“Knowledge Management for Sustainable Development: Driving Innovation, Transformation, and Inclusiveness,”
speaks directly to one of the most urgent development conversations of our time. It reflects the emerging movement we proudly describe as the African Knowledge Revolution—a renaissance grounded in Africa’s rich intellectual heritage, youthful energy, and rapidly expanding innovation ecosystems.
Despite the abundance of knowledge across the African continent, much of it remains unutilized or underutilized. This conference seeks to demonstrate how strategic knowledge management—when systematically captured, shared, and applied—can unlock unprecedented opportunities for sustainable development, inclusive growth, and global competitiveness.
Global experiences provide compelling evidence of this potential. East Asian economies have transformed through knowledge-driven policies, while African nations such as Rwanda and Mauritius have achieved notable development gains through sustained investment in human capital, digital innovation, and research. These lessons reaffirm that knowledge is a powerful driver of societal transformation.
We have launched the Call for Papers and Innovations, inviting original research, case studies, policy proposals, technological solutions, and community-based knowledge initiatives aligned with the conference theme. The conference program will feature inspiring keynote addresses, cutting-edge research presentations, innovation exhibitions, panel discussions, and roundtable engagements.
With expected global participation, the 30th AIMC will provide an exceptional platform for dialogue, networking, and collaboration. Your insights and contributions are vital to shaping the sustainable and inclusive future we collectively envision.
We also invite you to experience Uganda—the Pearl of Africa. From the source of the Nile to breathtaking national parks and the warmth of our people, Uganda offers a rich cultural and ecological experience that will make your participation truly memorable.
We look forward to welcoming you.
